We know that a parent's involvement in their children's education is crucial to their future success.

In the past, it's always been assumed that the parent most involved is the mother.

But today, as parental roles change, many fathers are playing a bigger part in their children's education.

Research provided by the U.S. Department of Education has shown that children of involved fathers have a higher tendency to enjoy school, have more positive peer relationships, have fewer behavior issues, and become better citizens when they reach adulthood.

By getting involved, dads also can get to know who their child's friends and peers are, reducing the possibility that their children will be bullied or picked on.

Additional research has found that men who are involved in their children's education feel more self-confident and effective as parents and do better at their jobs and in their marriages.

So, how do we get stay-at-home dads and career dads more engaged?
